Manuela & Ricarda in conversation with Kate McMillan
23 May 2019, Tate Modern
We were pleased to be invited by Counterpoint Arts to install our travelling exhibition at Tate Modern as part of their Who are We Project. We included our multilingual installation, our seven artist films, the poetry poster and the poetry cubes for visitors to take away, as well as our concertina book of retranslations.
We also took part in a symposium on “Movement and Identity”. For this Manuela and Ricarda introduced the project before discussing translation, art-making and home-making with artist Kate McMillan. We were very pleased that Domingo Martínez, Noèlia Díaz-Vicedo and Zuzanna Janin also managed to come for the afternoon. It was wonderful to discuss home with four of the artists and poets who had taken part in the first phase of Talking Transformations.
